Center room writing desk
The Supernova desk is finished to the smallest detail so it is ideal as a room center desk, for example in the living area. This, of course, does not detract from the fact that it can be placed against a wall in the study, topped by wall units or a bookcase for working in comfort.
Studio Signorotto&Partners designed an entire Supernova family, also consisting of chair, bookcase, table, sideboard, console, and coffee table.
Modern writing desk in wood, hard leather and metal
The Supernova desk is made beautiful by contrasting materials, matched in harmony: the cold metal of the base is softened by the shape of the rod and by the wooden top and splashback with rounded corners. Added to this warmth are the real hard leather drawers, in different color finishes. The same material, upon request, can also be used to make a refined shell that embraces the desk. It is workmanship such as this that bears daily witness to the sartorial soul of the Dallagnese tradition.
WOODS 1
The oak is offered in various open-pore finishes so that the wood essence can be appreciated in all its natural grain. The surface is subjected to a brushing process and then coloured with water-based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly paints.
WOODS 2
It is the woods that are distinguished by value, due to the type of processing performed or the type of wood chosen. For example, heat-treated oak becomes more valuable because it undergoes a high-temperature process that makes it stronger, more stable and durable, as well as darker to the eye. Canaletto walnut, on the other hand, is valuable by nature, with its channels carrying chlorophyll clearly visible to draw elegant textures.
TEXTURED FINISHES
These are panels composed of wood fibers, finished with a sheet of a paper-based material, made strong and compact. Its surface processing extremely realistically simulates a variety of materials, from wood to stone to leather, or it can simply be colored.
MATT LACQUERS
The panels are composed of wood fibers and are evenly and fully opaque lacquered with non-toxic water-based paints that are safe for everyone's health. They offer numerous colour options for custom furnishings.
METALLIC MATT LACQUERS
Metallic matt finishes are derived from matt lacquers, and have a special effect reminiscent of small bright specks applied. It is achieved by special pigments, mixed into the basic amalgam of the paint.
GLOSSY LACQUERS
Glossy lacquers are perfect for making a room bright and visually larger because they reflect light. For this reason, they are ideal in small rooms. Thanks to the large number of finishes available, they also make it easy to customize the decor of any room, following one's own tastes.
CONCRETE EFFECT LACQUERS
These are lacquers that are part of Up Surfaces, special surfaces because they very realistically simulate other materials, in this case cement. The result is taken care of by operators specialized in hand troweling the lacquer until the desired concrete effect is achieved.
METAL EFFECT LACQUERS
Up Surfaces also include special metal effect lacquers. They require specific brushing operations, carried out by hand by specialized operators, until the characteristic metal effect is achieved.
HARD LEATHERS
Perfectly smooth and uniform. The leather selected by Dallagnese has just the right level of flexibility so that it can bend without sagging and remain perfect over time, for example in seating or coffee table covers. Wear-resistant and impervious to water, it requires very little maintenance. It is processed to be fire retardant according to the strictest existing standard, that of European Class 1IM certification.
